What a month...

It's been a while since my last blog update, I've been quite busy! After the AABAT Forum, I traveled to Mullumbimby with the director of Human Nature and I lived in a caravan on his property for about a week and a half before the expedition. I had barely any phone service while there, so I spent lots of time reading and drinking tea, which was delightful(: Although once I opened a cabinet in the kitchen area of the caravan and saw a HUGE spider, I'm talking the size of my hand. I surprisingly haven't encountered many terrifying bugs/creatures in Australia even though that's one of the things it's known for, but this spider made me want to burn the whole place down. But, seeing as I didn't have another place to live, I merely closed the cabinet door and never opened it again, praying that it wouldn't come out and kill me in my sleep. Letter to Self from Freshman Year

A few weeks ago I received a letter in my mailbox from myself, written on the last day of my freshman year orientation trip. Reading it was a truly strange experience, and I laughed at how perfectly appropriate my past words seemed to be for my present self. I wanted to share what my letter said, because through reflecting on it I've been reminded that this entire Watson year I'm about to embark on has been in the works of my life for quite some time, even if I didn't know it. 8/22/15 (in the chapel by a window at night-- bell rang right at 9 as I finished this letter)  Well, Andi. Japan!

Hi everyone! (I started this draft on March 4th and then got distracted and forgot about the blog for another 14 days. This seems to be a trend in my life haha. Things around the world have changed drastically in the last 2 weeks since I wrote the first part of this post, and I'll share my thoughts and feelings about the coronavirus stuff either later or at the end of this post. ) I think the last time I updated this blog was over a month ago, so I figured it'd be a good time to share what I've been doing in Japan. I'm traveling on a series of Shinkansens (the super speedy bullet trains) this afternoon so I don't have much excuse not to write. An overview of my itinerary in Japan: 1.
